From 10am - 6pm on Thursday, Jan 29, the Way Station will borrow the basement of Nativity Lutheran Church to help collect data about how people got through the night of Wed, Jan 28. Asking: where did people sleep? Their car? A hotel someone else paide for? A tent? A friend's couch?

We are one of several locations in the county helping gather info for the PIT. See the map below.

People can also be interviewed over the phone. Or come by in person to participate.

We're serving free breakfast and lunch and offering gift cards for those who take the time to participate.

This effort is part of the annual Point in Time (PIT) count conducted by the federal government (HUD) to document homelessness. The funding that our county receives for the Cold Weather Emergency Response program, for instance, from NH's DHHS (distributed to each county) is based on the information we gather each year.
