This year, Way Station acquired a van to provide mobile services to the county's remote areas. In the past, personal vehicles were utilized to access clients in rural locations. The van will serve as a mobile distribution system for supplies, supportive services, and non-perishable food. Funding for the Way Station Mobile Outreach Rural Services Project will guarantee that services extend beyond the North Conway 17 Grove Street site and into other rural areas of Carroll County, where the demand for services is increasing. The main goal of the van is to broaden the reach of Way Station services.
By maintaining healthy water environments, monitoring initiatives contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and the bilge water treatment system resilience of natural ecosystems. Public health agencies use water quality monitoring to ensure the safety of drinking water supplies.
